When it comes to staying hidden, a hunter’s biggest challenge isn’t being seen. It’s being smelled. Many hunters try to combat this by just dumping deer pee on themselves before going on a hunt, but deer can sniff that out, literally. Code Scents makes products to strip away human scents and apply the odor for the game being tracked. This two-part process starts with scent-elimination products like body wash and laundry detergent. The next step is picking the right aroma from products like doe estrus; single-sourced buck, doe and boar urine; and synthetic blends.
To simplify this process, we separated the two categories by rebranding the scents and creating a sub-brand for scent elimination. After that we created a packaging system based on seasonal flow to maximize successful hunts. We launched the new brand with an ad campaign that eliminates confusion around staying hidden.
