Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a theater strictly for indie movies? Sidewalk certainly thinks so. The annual independent film festival has become a staple in the Birmingham community over the past 20 years, drawing filmmakers and patrons from around the world. In 2017 Sidewalk decided to establish a theater to play indie films year-round, but they needed to raise money to make it happen. We lent our talents and made a spot to show people that great movies are even better when we share them with each other.
